Filipinos are rich with regard to their literature and language. They have a sense of nationalism and enlightenment when it comes to revolutionary ideas. But, we all know that languages do evolve and develop. For instance, some Internet, English and pure Filipino words have some deep Filipino language which some of the Filipino people were unaware about, making it uncommon and difficult to understand. Without further waiting, here are 10 rarely used Filipino words that only the small population of the Philippine archipelago can understand.

1.Pook-sapot: Also known as “website” in the English language.

Example: Nais kong mahanap ang pook-sapot ng aking kaibigan

2. Sulatroniko: A.K.A the “E-mail”.

Example: Ako’y nagpadala sa sulatroniko ng aking mensahe sa kaibigan ko.

3. Yakis: To sharpen.

Example: Aking niyayakis ang aking lapis.

4. Napagtanto: To realize something.

Example: Napagtanto ko ang totoo na hindi talaga siya ang tunay na mahal ko.

5. Sapantaha: Intuition.

Example: Ayon sa aking sapantaha ay hindi madaling mabuhay nang nag-iisa.

6. Labaha: Razor

Example: Sadyang napakatalim ng aking labaha.

7. Durungawan: Window

Example: Nakita ko sa aming durungawan ang aking kapitbahay

8. Sambat: Fork

Example: Mas madaling kumain kung may hawak na sambat.

9. Kalupi: Wallet

Example: Nawala ang kalumpi ng aking kapatid kahapon.

10. Batlag: Car

Example: Nabangga ang aming minamanehong batlag kaninang umaga.
